Consultation Fees

Each consultation attracts a fee, and Medicare rebates are available for eligible patients. The consultation fee will be confirmed when you make your booking, and payment is required on the day of your appointment.

Surgical Procedure Fees

If surgery is recommended, you will receive a detailed fee estimate outlining:

• the surgeon’s fee
• any assistant fee
• the anaesthetist’s fee
• your Medicare rebate
• your private health fund rebate
• any expected out-of-pocket costs

Out-of-pocket expenses vary depending on the procedure, hospital, complexity, and your level of private health cover. As a general guide, costs typically range between $3,000 and $8,000, but this depends on individual circumstances and health fund arrangements.

Private Health Insurance and Gap Payments

Your private health fund contributes to hospital costs and provides rebates for medical fees. Gap payments differ depending on:

• your insurer

• hospital agreements

Workers’ Compensation and Third-Party Claims
